My Story

Hi there! Thanks for dropping in.

In my spare time, I volunteer with animal rescues as a photographer. It’s what fills my heart. I’m not happy until I know I’ve captured each dog’s and cat’s personality — my goal is to help them find a loving forever home.

I'm a life-long animal lover and my heart breaks when I think of them being abandoned, abused or neglected. In 2017, I became a volunteer for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS). The demand for help seems endless and it amazes me to see how many animals AARCS can help daily. I'm proud to be part of an incredible team of people dedicated to saving thousands of dogs and cats in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba each year.

Many of my photos are of a little white Bichon. That's Allie and she's my muse (as long as she knows she's getting treats). In December 2017 we adopted a silver-white tabby kitten named Otto from AARCS. In May 2018 we adopted another AARCS rescue — a little ginger fellow named Oliver. Sadly, he lost his ears and tail to frostbite. Finally, in October 2019 we welcomed a little black house panther named Vincenzo into our pack, so expect to see photos of them throughout this site.

Some personal stuff, I’m married to the love of my life. Since I was five and he was eight (we grew up next door to each other), we've known each other and have been married since 2010. Between us, we have two sons and a daughter who we’re most proud of, and four grandchildren who we adore beyond words. My passion for animal rescue has led to a career as the Content Strategist on the Communications and Marketing team for AARCS. I also love to spend my time in the mountains of Alberta, Canada which is wonderful since they’re practically in our backyard.

Due to COVID-19, I'm not accepting photo sessions.

Hopefully, things will change later in 2021.

So…

That's me, in a nutshell. If you're on social media, you can find me via the links below. Oh, and please send me a message — I'd love to hear from you!
